So holy cow, I haven't stopped in for quite a while. How is everyone? A LOT has changed around here! I'll probably disappear again before too long. That's me, I drop off the face of the earth for months at a time. Well, for the time being I look forward to reading through everything on the site again. And Josh, one of these days I still want to raid your MST3K collection.

In regard to the photo, how exactly does one wear "Saf(e)ty Glass", anyway? Sounds like a complicated procedure.

I would have crossed out the "ociate," but that's just me.

There was a car dealership near where I lived that had a HUGE sign that said "YOU'RE APPROVED." I was happy when they went out of business and I didn't have to pass that every day.

 

i am confused.  what is wrong with "You're approved"?  You are approved.  that  sounds right, doesn't it?

in other spelling related news, i like to give extra credit to my students sometimes.   One assignment is to find mistakes in advertising (like the safty gloves) and take a picture of it!  they have turned in a couple of cute ones!

I got a picture on my phone of the hand dryers from the men's room where i work. The dryer has two pictures, one of a hand pushing the button on the dryer, the other of wavy, red heat lines coming from the opening. An awesome customer added the commentary, "press button, receive bacon."
